The only thing they told me to do was drink alot of fluid before I went in to have the ultrasound done.

Something sweet, but don't over indulge. You can get the little guy moving to much and that can be a problem to. A glass of orange juice is a good choice. Don't put that on top of the water you already need to drink or you're going to have to full of a bladder and that can hurt.

Good luck.

Drink lots of water and when the technician is doing the ultrasound ask them to poke you softly on the belly if the baby does not have it's legs open they say that poking the belly makes the baby open it's legs

I drank orange juice and since then my son has not closed his legs for any ultrasound that I have had. It just depends on the baby and how shy they decide to be. Good luck!

Yes, I ate a chocolate bar before my u/s! Other options are orange juice or pop (caffeine free). One u/s tech recommended that I run up and down steps to wake baby up. He was so sound asleep that I couldn't get him to wake so we couldn't find out the gender. I wish someone had given me a tip before hand!

Good luck!

Drink something very cold to get the kid moving. I had just finished having lunch and to drink I had some cold Sierra Mist..my little guy was so active. It was hilarious.
