Being in Vegas is crazy enough, but driving from San Jose all I have to say is good luck!! I live in L.A. and last year driving from L.A. to Vegas took us 8 hours when it should only have taken us 4. So I guess you can say you will have to double your travel time and be very patient and ready for lots of stop and go! Have a safe trip if you decide to go for it!!

It is very crazy!! Tons of people flock in for the New Year! The traffic from CA is always packed and slow moving, add an hour or so onto the normal drive time getting into and out of Vegas.

It is a blast though, lots of stuff to do and lots of parties. Very fun atmosphere if you like lots of people everywhere!

Vegas is crazy busy on New Years. Its probably the busiest it gets. I have been to the strip a few times and have always found it too hectic. If you go be careful.

Lastly, the traffic would be bad driving to any part of California.

Vegas is as crazy if not worse than it is at Times Square in NY.

If you are driving I would leave a day before.
