The Bay of Pigs invasion of Cuba?

Were there people claiming that JFK was a war criminal?

Were they saying that it was an illegal invasion?

Take into consideration when answering this question, that the cuban missle crisis didn't happen until 1962, and the Bay of Pigs Invasion in 1961, so there was no threat to the US at the time.

I wonder if everyone thought it was OK to invade Cuba because we had a Democrat president...

The Bay of the Pigs Invasion of Cuba was not sensationalized by the people and by the media because Russia was very aggressive at that time and was even using Cuba as a pawn to make advances into the American heartland. Thus, the Americans were deemed right to prevent this Russian hegemony and there was no public criticism against the US government.

The plan for the Bay of Pigs invasion started in 1960 before JFK was even president.

The Bay of Pigs "Invasion" was to asist US supporting revlutionaries looking to oust Castro. The Soviet Navy was also looking to set up a Naval Base at Guantonamo Bay, and would have been a huge victory for Castro and Krustiev.

Actually the Bay of Pigs was an Eisenhower plan that Kennedy did not like and called off, but too late. He should have done so before hand, not after it was under way. This was an embarassment to all, but most were happy it did not go through, as invading another country at that time was considered totally against our good name.

No. And the public outrage was enormous. It is widely regarded as one of the greatest blunders of all time. Further, it is the most widely cited example of the psychological phenomenon of group think. Just because JFK did it didn't make it any less of a debacle. Are you finally admitted Jr. is a war criminal too?

The Bay of Pigs was a criminal act. Cubans were trained to invade the island by the CIA. At the last minute Kennedy pulled air support and the men were slaughtered.

Both of the leaders (JFK and Castro) involved in this situation are heroes of the left, are war criminals. JFK for his failure to the rebels and Castro for torturing them.

If conservatives had done this they would have see the noose. Lefties are heroes and even get their faces on t shirts.

nicely, look at Professor gray---comparable ingredient. by using fact they're black racists, all people else supplies them an excellent berth. They understand a thank you to apply the courts and the media to their benefit. the internet web site for the church in Chicago the place he used to evangelise states that that's "unashamedly Black!!!" The congregation needless to say backed what he reported, by using fact there replaced into actual no detrimental information approximately him till the election final 12 months. i'm sorry, yet while Obama sat in that church and listened to him for twenty years, you already know he heard that detest-mongering. he's not being uncomplicated approximately "in no way listening to Rev. Wright say something detrimental". via the way, FOX information replaced into throughout him for the anti-American issues he reported. you spot that, like Prof. gray, he in no way apologized. they easily hate this united states of america.

In general, respectful people do not speak ill of the dead. Conservatives seem to hold the office of President in higher regard these days.

But just because we do not speak ill of JFK does not mean we share the liberals' worship of him.

you have no clue...........take into account what threat " communism " posed at the time and that had a great effect on what people were thinking......seriously get a clue, or a book those are also helpful...........

And to only mention Kennedy as the catalyst for the invasion is completely wrong, its like saying John Booth was the only man who hung for the death of Lincoln......popular belief but incorrect

The biggest out cry was that of sending men in and then pulling out to let them die on the beach or in jail.
