Just think 'Is over of equals percent over 100." So... Is/Of = x/100. What percentage really means 'x/100' and of $30 is $6 means '6/30' and solve from there. Remember this calculation - I use it more than I thought I would have...

So we make a percent to a decimel by moving the decimel place 2 times to the right.
