I am thinking about exploring parts fo Eastern Europe in the summer of 2007. However, I am on a student budget and so I am limited. I have started looking for different options, for example I have seen like coach tours that cover countries like the Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and this is most likely the area I would aim for. Nevertheless, I still have this issue with the cost as what I generally see is overbudget or covers a small area. I just would like to know of ways of me exploring this area more cheaply and if there are any companies that you know of that could help.

Thankyou!!

Why does this question not show when I put it up? I have lost five points and receive no answers as people can't see it. Hopefully this will change when this goes up.

Eastern Europe in general is not very expensive compared to the UK, France or Germany. The people there are very friendly and outside the tourist destinations you will find clean and cheap rooms everywhere.
Austria is a beautiful place to visit, but the standard is much higher than for example Bulgaria or Romania. So it's not really cheap (but worth seeing!)
My suggestion: By an Interrail ticket for the countries you want to visit and try to book some youth hostels in advance if possible. So you save time because you don't have to look for accomodation and you can calculate some of the costs in advance.

Bernd seems to be the only one for that reason a great way who knows the place jap Europe is. Paris, Rome, London, Venice, Santorini, Florence... none of those are in jap Europe. on an identical time as technically Greece is placed east of mainland Europe, culturally it somewhat isn't any longer "jap". Greece is between the unique 15 member international locations of the ecu and is culturally unrelated to the Slavs, Dacians, Magyars, and different communities that are oftentimes linked with cultural and linguistic jap Europe, and is oftentimes no longer blanketed as an jap eu united states of america (any further than Turkey is). Of the international places that maximum folk could planned to be "jap Europe", i've got been to Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, and Slovenia. i could somewhat like no longer something greater desirable than to get to work out different international places in jap Europe, although; 2 on the remarkable of my record are Romania and Bulgaria... yet i does no longer suggestions attending to additionally see Croatia, Ukraine, and the Baltic states too. From own adventure, i can recommend Prague, truthfully. Bratislava is yet another widespread. Budapest--no contest, yet another could see. Ljubljana (Slovenia)... it somewhat is smaller and quieter yet i replaced into very prepared on it, and it replaced right into a delightful marvel--and is way less busy and occasional-priced than enormously lots any modernized jap eu capital you could call. In Slovakia (different than Bratislava, of path), I visited Devin, Trencin, Cicmany, and Bojnice--and that i could recommend all of them. there are a number of places in jap Europe i've got not seen yet could probably recommend by using fact i'm drawn to seeing them, too. the main suitable ingredient i can recommend is to earnings each united states of america, and if achievable, each city you're thinking of in those international places, to work out what pastimes you.
