What is your point with this question. You are proud to be Albanian obviously. Leave it at that. Don't judge all Americans by what some say.

Endevide, you can hide your trollish nature behind finely selected words, but only from those who come here from time to time. Those who frequently visit the Greek travel section know you well, as you proved it by posting a question which - doesn't belong here. And of course, some will be pissed off because Macedonians participate in this section. Anyway, I will satisfy your curiosity, in a part. According to the lest census from 2004 (which was internationally monitored) there are a bit over 25% Albanians that live in Republic of Macedonia today. Since you stated you was searching around, I am not going to provide you with a link - you can find it on your own. About the number of Albanian politicians in the Macedonian government check out the Macedonian government web site. I am not concerned at all about Albanians participating in the government, since Albanians participated in every government in Macedonia since its independence in 1991. The future of Macedonia - I don't have a crystal ball, but certainly it will share the future of the region. As for now, we want to become EU and NATO members - hopefully in near future. @vasiliki: How many Albanians live in Greece today? According to the Greek census - not very much. Unofficially, much much more. Numbers are interesting things here in the Balkans. Mother Theresa and Gjergj Kastrioti were born in Macedonia, and they are not Macedonians. While for Kastrioti is known that he fought against Ottomans, as well as against Serbs and others, protecting the Christian population, Mother Theresa was born in Christian family in Skopje. If we build monuments for them we honor them because they were born here. Albanians live in Macedonia today, and we have equal rights with them. So they built a monument to Kastrioti. So we built a memorial house for Mother Theresa in the center of Skopje. So what? What have we stolen? From whom? EDIT: vasiliki: I know what I said and I am not confusing citizens with immigrants. Just wonder why you think there are more Albanians in Macedonia than officially 25%? Maybe one can assume that since they are concentrated mostly in western and northern part of Macedonia, while they are almost non-exist in other parts. As for propaganda groups, yes there are, just like there are propaganda groups in Greece that claim Istanbul (Constantinople). Nationalists are everywhere. However, I totally don't agree that Kastrioti and Agnes Bojaxhiu were ethnic Macedonians. Agnes Bojaxhiu was born in Albanian Christian family in Skopje. And Skopje is capital of Macedonia. And no one can deny that. As no one can deny us the right to celebrate her name.

I am American, and personally I have nothing against Albanians.I think people catagorize us by our government and president which I have to say aren't all that great! Some people in all races are predjudice, but that just goes to show that in some way they are insecure with theirselves. I can dress, have fun, and I have to say I look pretty damn good too! My advice to you is to ignore all the haters and be proud of who you are & where you come from.
