I think that women do have it harder than men. A woman in society now is required (by economics) to hold down a full time job, keep a home and raise children, all at the same time. There is really no break for women these days, especially if they are single mothers. We are also supposed to stuff our down our emotions, stress and put on a happy face weather or not we are on the rag at the time. It's tough being a woman somtimes. To that guy Midnight2: Some women would love to stay home full time and take care of the home and children (I am one of those), but in todays economic society, it's just not livable to only live on one income alone. I don't choose to work outside the home, I don't have a choice BUT to have a job so that I can put pampers on my baby's bottom.

I'm not a whiner, but I do think women have it harder these days when it comes to work/family issues. Particularly, giving birth and most likely having to go back to work soon after. It is impossible for many to be a SAHM these days, although lots of women dream of it.

Also, men seem to be better able to get away with not showing their emotions or caring part of their nature.

Just a couple thoughts...

I think that many women make their lives harder by trying to take on the role and responsibility of the man. (This does not include single parents) The man is supposed to be the head of the house but when the women usurps that authority she is only making life harder for herself by taking on a role God didn't design her to fulfil. Women who work instead of staying home and taking care of their children make their lives harder by trying to the work she's supposed to do and also the work the man's supposed to do. Basically, if women followed the rules on conduct in the Bible their lives would be far easier.

It might be nice to be a man for a week. It would be cool to be 350 pounds and still be loved. Men can be any size and still be socially acceptable, but not women. Women have to live their lives 20 pounds underweight.

I'm sure that if everyone on earth could change sex for one week, there would be a lot more understanding and compassion than what we have now.

Nope. They are just harder in different ways.

Case in point: My wife had to stay home with the kids when they were little. I had to go to work and pretend that I wasn't woken up 5 times with kids crying.

Which is harder? Neither - just different.

I am a guy, but I love to dress as a woman. I'll be the first to admit that I don't know what it is really like to be a woman. I love they society treats me when I am dressed female. I like it much more than when dressed male. There are a lot of nice things like pretty clothes, men will open doors and such and girl talk is a lot of fun.

yes they do. Boys don't have that monthly visitor, and are less emotional. Plus, they can ask girls out and be the boss of the house or a company.

I have yet to see a woman president in the U.S. and plus we have child birth and labor. We have PMS. We have certain rules we have to follow to be "lady like".
