She is 11 months old, eating mostly breastmilk and a little solid food. She had chicken pieces and carrots at lunch, and some corn a few hours ago for suppre. She's all of the sudden crying and insisting on being held. She keeps kicking and acting as if her tummy is very sore. He4r gas drops did nothing! What should I do?

she may just have a sensitive stomach and isnt ready for solid foods yet. Or maybe she is cutting teeth. Give her a warm bath and then a lotion massage all over her body. If nothing else works, give her some tylenol and oragel and then go for a nice drive. If it doesnt stop , use your instincts and take her to the doctor. It is always better to be safe than sorry. My daughther had collic but it ended at 6months of age, then came the teething. Listen to your heart and just do what you can to make her comfortable

As her mom, you know the signs she has exhibited for gas in the past. While she may be exhibiting the symptoms of several conditions, try two things first. Attempt to burp her. Even though kids at 11 months don't really need help burping, tonight she may need it. The other thing that worked on my kids is to cradle her. If she brings up her legs, you can try "pumping her legs. Put your hand on the bottome of her feet, and push them gently toward her tummy. Keep doing it, and she may "toot" for you or have a BM. It worked for my kids as did putting a warm compress on her tummy.

She may be hungry too. Corn is very fiberous and is probably not a good thing to give a child her age. You should talk to her doctor but you may need to think about giving her food to eat rather than "mostly breast milk". At 11 months, both my daughter were eating food and drinking formula mixed with milk. Good luck.

Try Activia Yogart... we tried this, and it does wonders for our son's digestive system. He gets bad gas, constipation, bad tummy aches, everything. Carrots and bananas and regular yogart tend to make poop harder... so maybe try things like applesauce, that activia yogart, some juice here and there-maybe half juice half water.

Also - what would help our son was if we pushed on his feet to make his knees push on his tummy- that helped get some extra gas out. My son is the same way! So I know how you feel... he has to be constantly held- standing up!!!!!! Even if we sit down with him, he'll scream! But their diet(watching foods they intake) helps- so maybe even watch what you eat since you are breastfeeding. goodluck! It's gradually getting better for us- our son is learning to communicate a little better, but still not everything just yet, so we still have to stand with him a lot and show him everything since he loves asking what everything is :)

Stop with the solids, go with toast, applesauce, broth, jello, puddings, soft stuff, go back to baby foods they are easier to digest for a while meat is hard to digest and she may not be ready yet,

you can lay her over your knees, on her stomach and bounce alittle,
my son would usually burp and pass gas after a while.

Could she be teething? Maybe a cold chewy and some tylenol? Or, you could be right on w/ gas. Maybe give her a nice soothing bath and some quiet time till it passes? Could she be constipated?

Give her some coffee, serioulsy, it will help her take a dump.
This worked for me when my kid was having problems like that, I never gave him an entire cup though.
