Our (the US) system of justice depends on catching someone alive so they can face a fair trial. On the other hand, if we catch Usama Bin Laden alive his followers will probably take a bunch of people hostage and demand that he be released. Should we forget about trying to catch him alive?

-I'd like to see him pay for his crimes, but in the end it won't really change things. Terrorists aren't going to go 'Osama's dead! Guess we better give up!' and go home. Also, it would be better to question him rather than just shoot him on sight. I'd really love to know what he knows about some of the stuff the U.S. did covertly during the early days of some of these groups when we were actually helping them. Of course, that's 'National Security' info!

To stop terrorism, Osama Bin Laden must be caught dead or alive since he was financing and orchestrating the disastrous attacks like 9/11.

He will never be caught. The American government does not want him caught. Where would they be with out a 'bogyman' to frighten you all with.

I don't know where Bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority.

The terrorists will use his capture or his death for propaganda purposes and as an excuse for more terrorism. Therefore I believe that we should make our decision on how to handle him when we catch him based solely on the convenience to the military. There are too may variables if we start to discuss propaganda and the terrorist reaction.

The president is the commander and chief. however the president isn't the main suitable militia strategist. So he has generals and Pentagon officers who make technique based judgements for him. and that they only tried to get Bin weighted down in Tora Bora with in basic terms some troops. It in basic terms approximately labored. yet I consider you that if the needed form of troops have been used, Osama could probably be in GITMO appropriate now, looking forward to his execution date. i do no longer blame that on the president although. It replaced into in basic terms a technique via the Pentagon that did no longer paintings. in basic terms like the Bay of Pigs. i could wager my existence on it that if George Bush replaced into in complete administration of the area, he could have sent a million/2 of the militia in to get him. yet we learn by way of our blunders and that i assure you that we are no longer making the blunders of utilizing an inadequate form of infantrymen lower back... and that i do no longer think of we could continuously subject lots, by using fact it somewhat is in basic terms a rely of time till now Bin weighted down is caught. particularly with the surge going into Afghanistan. i'm crossing my arms that our next president sticks with the plan, and if he does, I anticipate Bin weighted down be in the back of bars interior a 12 months.
