If you have the money to pay for a pre-paid cell phone, then you probably have the money to pay for a larger calling plan. Ask your mom if she continues to pay for the 300 minutes per month, that can you upgrade to a bigger calling plan if you pay the additional costs?

It doesn't make any sense to pay for two cell phones, especially the pre-paid ones. You will end up spending WAY more money on a pre-paid than you would to just upgrade your current calling plan.

I have a Motorola 170 - it's a pre-paid. I don't use it as much as you do. You should try to use your landline at home more so you don't go over your minutes on your regular cell. Prepaids can be a pain if you're running low on minutes, unless you have a credit card.

You need to talk less, that's just the facts. Use the regular home telephone when you're taking calls from your friends after school and email more often to those friends that you don't need to talk to. But most of all .... until you pay for the phone bill completely by yourself, follow her rules. The things you talk about are not that important.

If you have the money to buy a prepaid phone, why don't you see if your mother will allow you to pay that money on the overage minutes you use instead?
