Have a look at some pictures of dead children who's entire family and homes have been destroyed. We went there on false pretences first it was wmd and now it's Saddam. What is going on. We gave Saddam a few wmd back in the 80's when Iraq invaded Iran, so how can we now say he should die for the things we let him do. He has done some awful things to his own people but I'm afraid we are partly to blame. I think the Iraqi people have more than enough reason to moan about the wreckage we have made in THEIR country, they certainly don't think we are 'liberating' them. I'm sure I'll get a few thumbs down for this answer but they are the facts x

Because he should have been taken out three years ago. There was a good reason to do at the time. Look what the west done to Iraq. It would been a different world three years later but not in the state it is now, all because the west were shitting themselves that Saddam might have weapons.

The war in Iraq is illegal and it wasn't worth all the death and destruction just to get rid of the regime headed by Saddam. Lots of other countries have a much worse track record such as Burma and Korea yet no action is taken. Unless the underlying agenda is access to the worlds energy supplies.

You have got to be kidding. Over 2000 soldiers gave up their lives for nothing except to satisfy the arrogance of an administration.

There was a reason that a dictator like Saddam Hussein held power in Iraq for so many years. His people let him.

Democracy and freedom cannot be a gift. A people have to want it and earn it.

We have done nothing over there except to empower groups of people that hate us. George Bush and Dick Cheney have done more damage to this country than a Hussein or Bin Ladin could ever do.

i don't agree.
you can identify the political territory called 'iraq'.
in that territory saddam hussain called the shots for about 3 decades - 1973 - 2003?
he killed a great many people during that time - about 200 EVERY week, totalling 300,000 people killed during his rein.
more people in iraq were killed by outside government forces than were killed by s. hussain.
was it about twice as many? or a good deal more?
pardon my question - is it a form of treason?
i hope so.

If you had a loved one out in Iraq risking their lives everyday or already dead
you would be moaning too.
The US has no business over there, bush even admitted Saddam had nothing to do with 9/11.
I guess he just had to finish what daddy started.

Yes, maybe it did do something worthwhile, but more thought should have been given to control the anarchy that set in after the war. This one fact alone, caused innocent law abiding families to be trapped in their homes for months.
Their cries for help fell on deaf ears.

No, I'm not from Iraq, I'm English.

Would you moan if another country invaded yours just to steal natural assets and killed over 1/2 million people?

And I'm sick of hearing this bs about bringing 'democracy' to Iraq like they are some kind of uncivilised people. The Americans are the ignorant, uncivilised & aggressive ones and their idea of democracy is a joke

The whole concept of the invasion of Iraq was to go get the WMD's.
When no WMD's where found the reason for the invasion changed to 'regime change' ie. depose Saddam.
To invade a sovereign state to effect a change in the regime is illegal under international law.
Honey, we was lied to about the real reason for the invasion.
...and the real reason is OIL.
Hundreds of thousands of innocent men, women and children are now dead.
Yep, I think we all got reason to moan.
How is it we are able to hang one man for murder, but not another one..or two men..for the same crime.???

yes saddam hussein should have been brought to justice but approximately 200,000 iraqi children died from malnutrition and other diseases because of american sanctions on iraq after the first gulf war....so who is the bigger killer... american foreign policy or saddam?
