Individual perceptions of beauty are based on a number of things, with race sometimes being one of them. What one person finds physically attractive will vary from the next person. It's almost the same as asking "why do some people like blonds and others like redheads?"
You like what you like, it's not wrong to have your own desires and definitions of beauty.
It's called an "opinion".

Because it's easy and it doesn't require you to be open to new ideas or constantly challenge yourself. You have an opinion, get set in your ways, and you never have to believe anything different for the rest of your life. :-) Some get offensive and say these are folks with "small minds" (I've said something like that before :-)), but to be this way is really just lazy and stubborn. There will always be those with opinions that don't really make sense. Ya just try to overlook these flaws and get along with everyone as best you can.

Well. Uhh....
Yeah. It IS about the individual.
But. Say I don't like INDIVIDUALS (when it comes to immediate attraction, through beauty, NOT if I respect them or if I would go steady/marry them, we're just talking IMMEDIATE ATTRACTION...) who happen to have slanted eyes. I like girls with large, round, dough eyes. Most asian women are out. Its not racism. Hell, I don't like girls with big noses, and I have a huge nose. Its just preference. But some traits are seriously more probable based upon race. Sorry.
If I could, and this is true, I would be attracted to everyone I saw. I really would. I just can't! Sorry!

yes it is stupid darling!!
because we are all the same. people who base beauty on race are simply racist. sometimes u look at 2 people from a very 2 different races and u can choose who is more beautiful because both have their own type of beauty. here, we are looking at the external beauty, and actually it has nothing to do to us unless we are beautiful from inside.
Cheers,

I don't think they do!!! I'd need more evidence of that before i could agree... Their are beautiful people in all races (and i'm racist) all sizes and shapes.. Don't go by what the magazines and T.v. tell ya, because real people don't look like that.

I know, saying someone is beautiful because they have blonde hair and blue eyes or booty and full lips isn't beauty alone. That's a superficial and adolescent way of percieving people. Image/Beauty shouldn't matter. Find someone you that you are happy with. It depends on who you meet.

There is beauty in every race so I don't see how you can judge appearance on that basis.

People are ignorant, everybody is beautiful in there own way. If people could just accept the indivdual, life would be so much better.
