I heard that the "W" is pronounced as a "V"?
I figure it's either pronounced as, "weel", "wale", "wile", "veel" "vale" vile".
I got one for Xmas & I want to know how to say it properly!

The name actually is a mix between a French-pronounced "Raymond" and a German-pronounced "Weil".

I would suggest to pronounce the "Weil" exactly like the English word "while".

Greetings from Switzerland

It's like the name Neil-but without the -n- accent-say:
Neil
-N
+W=
Weil

In traditional pronunciation of German names, the second vowel is the one that sounds. This is not Weil as in Neil, but "i" as in "wile.
