Xanax, naps, sock 'em boppers, make voodoo dolls of the people you hate, more Xanax...maybe add some Vicodin to that...hmm...a few drinks for those of you who can tolerate alcohol, have a Grand Mal seizure (that's one of my methods of "dealing" with stress), rant on the phone to people that aggravate you and try to watch mind numbing tv until you find yourself staring off...

When I'm stressed out, sometimes just taking a drive or a nice warm bath helps. I have two kids who keep me busy so I appreciate a little break once in a while. Also, I find that busying myself with some task also takes stress away - such as housework. If you don't have kids - or can get a babysitter, a good night on the town to blow off steam also helps me. Sports also helps - I play volleyball and baseball. I'm usually relaxed after bashing a ball around for a couple hours.

Do it without meds for one. Get away from what is causing your stress for just a couple of hours. Take a walk, Long hot bath.. meditate. Exercise is good also. If you have a pet- pet them and talk to them what is bothering you. Stress is with all of us. Get a hold of your life.. Stress is short term. Try to get a good nights sleep. Eat well too.. Nothing fatty. You will be ok.

Return to nature.... I had a rotten week last week and decided that all the hussle and bussle of everyday can wait and headed to the beach. It so happened a storm was comming and as the thunder and the lightning lookes and sounded so angry it was the most awsome sight. Stayed there for the duration I just simply needed to chill. Would have stayed longer but the storm and wind won.....Just learn to take time out! Go watch the sun set, walk in a park, your time out is what you make it.

Taking atleast 30 minutes a day to just deal with yourself and be alone. Take a warm bath, light candles, and listen to a soft relaxing music. After you've had time to yourself relaxing in the bath; invite your husband/wife (partner) to share some time with you. Exchange a massage, use a warm oil (Ky massaging oil).
Relax. Breathe in slowly and exhale slowly. Go on with your night.
