Not strange at all, it's called writers block and it is temporary. Think of being at a party with your friends, as a writer you are a natural story teller. Now think of the story you tell most often at a party, that strange thing that happened that your friends always want to hear again. Now write it down. Add embellishments to make a tragic version or a hilarious version. You will find as you write that one story spawns another, but turn off the inner editor until you at least have a first draft, writer's block is an overly strict inner critic. Good luck.

try to think of your friends, of the stories they've told you about their lives, about your family, about their stories
if you totally run out of ideas, pick up a book or turn on the tv and try to make connections to whatever you read/watch. maybe something on tv reminds you of something that happened last year? stuff like that always helps me, hopefully it'll help you, too :)

The best New Years Eve you ever experienced. What made it memorable? What were your emotions? What were the tastes, smells and sounds of that evening?

i love a book with a twist, like tricks... if u know what I mean. and layers, like traveling in a car and telling a life story to the one your traveling with. I like it with a romance in the background too
