I don't mean System mod with a mod chip. Im asking how would you mod a video game? Like take one character from one a game and put it on another. Like put Dante on Bloodrayne. Or put Rayne on Devil May Cry. How would I go about doing that? And is it a way to burn it on a disk instead of changeing the acual games up?

There is no way to do this without having access to the original source code and asset libraries of both games. Also, the source character from game A would need to be converted, probably by re-coding it, to something that the engine of game B would understand.

You would essentially need to re-build game B, into an entirely new version of the game with the new character.

Edit:

Some PC games support modding, and some PC games also run on the same engine, so it is theoretically possible to put certain assets from the game files of A into B, but that is extremely unlikely, and it would require a good deal of technical knowledge, programming/modding understanding to be able to do that.

Lol, seriously dude, give up on this, it's effectively impossible. For a start you'd need access to the source code for both games, which is a closely guarded secret by the development company and you've got more chance of getting eaten by a dinosaur than you have of getting access to that stuff.

And even if you did, you'd need to be a top flight programmer, with in-depth knowledge of 3D modelling and the like, to even be able to think about doing it.

Honestly, this is about as close to impossible as makes no difference and the fact that you're even asking this question in the first place means you wouldn't be close to capable even if the source code for every game in the history of the world miraculously dropped in your lap tomorrow (which it really won't).

Rex M. is exactly right, having the source code to both games is THE MOST IMPORTANT PART in trying to mod your characters.
