O-k, This car was painted original with lacquer paint, which is a single stage paint (no clear)
Its been a long time since I have looked for a paint code on that old of a GM car. I cant recall when Gm switched from the metal tags on the door jamb to the paper tags that they put in either the glove box or in the trunk on the cover at the bottom.
Well, either way its a code that starts with WA at the bottom of the tag. Like example WA2343a
The other way to find out is to give a GM Dealer your vehicle identification number and they can look it up.You will need to talk to the parts department at the dealer and they have the ability to look up the code from that.
if you find the Wa code, call a automotive paint supply store and give them the code and they can tell you the exact color name.

there is a paint code # on a plate usually under the hood or on the drivers door that will tell the # of the paint, take the car to a body shop if you can't find the code plate and they will find it for you and tell you the color.

look on the ID tag on the edge of the driver's side door, and get the paint code number. A dealer can tell you the color.

Take the VIN number into your local chevy dealer and have them take the paint code off of it and they will be able to tell you exactly what the color is.

Personally, I like the white on white better, although I think the black on black with the red outline looks more unique and flashy if that's the look you're going for. Good luck! :)

Check the VIN number. Or, you might be lucky and find the org. build sheet on top of the gas tank.
