at the young age of 7, i witnessed the break up of my parents 20 year marrage. I watched with the understanding of a child as my mother gathered up my two older sister and walked out the door,not to be seen again for 20 years.I recall that on that same day my father took myself, my younger brother and two younger sister to the corner restaurant,ordered us all a bowl of chilly and told us good by,that he was unable to care for us. he told us that our relatives would be along to collect us then he also walked out the door not to again be seen for about 10 years,after spending one year with an aunt, my brother and myself was sent to a milatary home were i spent the next 10 years. so i guess that is what i would like to tell, the story of a broken home, oa growing up without the love of any parents or relatives and the bond that developed between my self and my younger brother, for we were the only family either of us had
