Lol, I think it's funny that others suggest to pump and give a bottle. My daughter wouldn't take a bottle if her life depended on it, but I'm not sure about your baby. You've probably heard this before, but routines really do work. Try a bath, and read a book for some quiet time to get the baby wound down. Maybe read the book in a rocking chair with the lights on really low, I bet he/she would fall asleep right away!

I feel for you. It was really hard for me. She refused a bottle period and I am a single parent. Just take your time and have patience. Try pacifiers and bottles and good luck, for those of us that have success breast feeding it can be hard to stop. I nursed my daughter at bed time until she was 2 1/2. The good side - she has always been exceptionally healthy. It is great that you are breast feeding!!!! Good for you!!!!

You pump into a bottle and instead of using your beast you bottle feed the baby breastmilk. It would probably be more helpful if Daddy gave the baby the bottle the first couple of times.

You've got to change her routine.

Apparently the routine at that age should be feed, play and sleep.

It's hard work though, I'm working on changing my 9 month old daughter's routine because it was just easier before to feed and put her to sleep. But they eventually have to learn to settle and go to sleep by themselves.

I wish I could help but that was my faorite time to nurse. I cut out all others before I stopped that and then I just went into singing and reading and snuggling. It worked quite well.

Pump before bed, and have daddy or someone feed the baby so you can catch up on some zzzz's!

Oh , I feel your pain! I discovered that formula helped. But honestly I felt that I might as well sleep shirtless with the baby laying next to me!
