Assuming the shows are not protected.
Connect video (and audio) out from Tivo to video (audio) input of VCR.
Connect video out from VCR to TV (to see what you are recrding)
Start Play on Tivo
Start Record on VCR
If the shows are Macrovision protected you will not be able to record.

The tivo manual has a whole chapter on doing what you are asking. it is near the end of the user's guide. You can probably download a new user's guide from the website. They call it "save to tape" or make copy , its easy to figure out what they are stating. good luck.

come out of the tivo into your VHS, and out of the VHS into the TV
