I have an old gateway..?

i have an older gateway SOLO laptop with windows 2000 profesional and i got it turn on today but the screen has no backlight , how can i get it to come on? i know the sreen works because i can faintly see the desktop

go to http://www.dell.com ..... click on support type in the id number of your computer you will get all the upto date drivers and upto date software for the computer plus you can download the manual for it
