If the phone was a Vodafone live handset originally it will probably need unlocking first. However Vodafone certainly used to sell the non-vodafone live handsets unlocked (not sure if this still applies, depends how old the phone is) but it may be worth just putting in the t-mobile sim card first. If it isnt unlocked it will just come up with an error message, if it loads up properly its already unlocked and fine.

Should be able to! A sim card is a sim card. As long as your Vodafone has a place for a sim card.

go to a mobile shop and unlock your phone it might cost you some thing but you have to unlock the phone first. other vice it want work

You can't unless you have had your phone unblocked.
there are lots of independant phone shop will do this for a small fee ( around a fiver) but it does reduce your phones capabilities!
