When you get in a fight or you just get mad at your significant other, do you replay the whole fight or conversation in your head over and over... even if you already made up?

Maybe I just think too much. Or maybe I have too much time in my hands. LOL.

By the way, I've been with my boyfriend for like 10 1/2 months. So the relationship isn't new and I'm not obsessively scared or anything of what will happen. Haha. I'm just curious.

We DO resolve our arguments and we tell each other how we feel. So then it's over and apologies are done. We change our ways for the best, so it's not just words and the same actions are repeated. It's alright! I guess I'm just not used to a long-term relationship. This is my first one hehe.

I get over it in a day or two. I just wonder how long is normal for the whole fight to stay in my head. lol.

yes, i do that too. I think when you care about someone it's kinda hard no to. Don't worry, you're not obsessive-compulsive!

If you are replaying the incident over and over in your head it's because nothing got resolved. The two of you made up to end the argument but whatever caused the fight in the first place is still hanging in the air.

I have been with my husband for about 13 yrs and we got into an argument that lasted for an entire month. We apologized but nothing got resolved. His thing is if we apologize then the issue gets dropped. NOT. For him, apologizing is like pleading the 5th amendment, he doesn't have to answer any question after that apology.

Did you ever resolve what started that argument? Ususally when something like that nags at you then you aren't okay with the end result.
