I want to arrive really early (I'm thinking 6 am) , but I fear I'll arrive before they even start letting people park.

Most of the parking lots open at 4:00am. If you are planning to park around Pasadena (around Colorado, Lake, Hill, etc etc), you are better off arriving before 6:00am since the game starts early (2:00pm PT) plus all the "pre" parade's congestion. I would recommend parking somewhere further and taking a shuttle (then, you wouldn't have to arrive that early).

if you have an RV you can go the night b4...usually 8 am...maybe earlier since its a bowl game...
