It could be possible that you're still having symptoms b/c you still have enough hCG in your body to cause symptoms. If you're unsure, call your OB for an ultrasound to see if there's anything left. You'll not only want to check for the possibility of a twin, but you'll also want to make sure it's a complete miscarriage.

I'm sorry for your loss :( I know how hard it is to deal w/ a miscarriage--I lost my first pregnancy. Good luck next time around :)

Hopefully you saw your obgyn about the bleeding. Eight days of heavy bleeding and you sound so laid back about it! If you haven't already gone, you must contact your physician immediately! You don't sound as if you're really that informed about this sort of thing. You don't wait around and bleed for 8 days and you should not be having symptoms of being pregnant if you already miscarried. That is serious. Did you get a D&C? You should not assume that everything was expelled from your body. Only your doctor will know for sure after a pelvic examination/sonogram, etc. Get help right away!

Well, this isn't an easy situation that your in. For one, I hope you didn't have a miscarriage.. :) My aunt about 5 years ago got pregnant with her 2nd set of twins.. One actually "died" inside of her and she carried the other one for 1 week without knowing it.. she had to have, what is called a DNC. Not a good thing to go thru.. I'm sorry if you have had a miscarriage and personally, I hope you weren't pregnant with twins. I seen what she had to go thru and I wouldn't want that for anyone. I do have some good news.. She got pregnant again with ANOTHER set of twins about 2 years after that.. so, now.. she has her 2 sets of twins(they are 10 and 4) GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!!!!!!!!!

It is very possible for you to maintain the pregnancy even after miscarriage of one fetus. In fact, this just happened to a family member, and to a colleague at work. Both are carrying the second baby. One of them is due next month. Get to a doctor and get an exam to be sure you are healthy.

Sorry sweetie.... actually.. the "pregnancy" hormone is still in your body ..... hence,,, the pregnancy symptoms. Wait a couple of days to a few weeks...and it will go away. If you are still feeling that way after a month or so..then I would definitely go to the doctor..... it might have been twins..and you lost one!!! But I really think your doctor would have been able to see that !!

well, the issue with you taking a test when you get off wk today is that it may still come up positive even though you miscarried. Yes, there is a possibility, so you should call your doctor and have him do a blood test for you. If it goes down, then there is no fetus, if it goes up, then maybe you were pregnant with twins. good luck

Did you not go to the doctor when you had your miscarriage? They would have done an ultrasound, gave you medicine and could have helped if there was another baby. It sounds like you didn't and I would say that if you had a miscarriage and didn't go to the doctor, you've probably harmed your uterus and any chances of having babies in the future. I'm sorry to say this. But you should have seeked medical attention when you had the miscarriage. They could have helped and answered any questions you had.

Believe it or not, you could still show a positive reading even after an abortion. A friend of mine had an abortion and ten days later was in severe pain. Aparently, they didn't "get it all". Your body may still be in the process of rejecting the fetus.

You need to go to the doctors and get an ultrasound. That's the only way to know for sure! Good Luck!

Have you had an ultrasound? If you had an ultrasound last week, it most likely would have shown another fetus. If you didn't have one, you might want to consult the dr. I have heard of this happening alot, so it's very possible. Best of luck to you!!
