As a labor and delivery doula, I think I can say from experience and training that only about 1 in 4 women experience their water breaking prior to active labor.
The fact that it happened in your last labor does not really reflect if it will or will not happen again. My best educated guess would be that the chances are still, 25%.

When the baby is ready you will start having heavy contractions, that's nature's way of helping the baby push through the birth canal. Every pregnancy is different. 99.8% of the women that i know had their water break before they went into labor. One, however, had her water break couple of occasions to the point when she went to the hospital they said that it wasn't time. They gave her testing kits and told her when her water broke to test the water. it had to be a certain color > weird right? anyway, if it's way past your due date they can break the water and induce labor....

once you're in water, taking a tub or tub you is probably no longer attentive to precise whilst your water breaks. yet once you get out you will. that is going to proceed to leak and spill out til the infant comes. you're able to be able to bleed slightly too, and could sense contractions approaching. i would not difficulty approximately it. you would be attentive to regardless of if it occurs in the bathe you've gotten the skill to tell after. i would not flow swimming. it may reason an infection whilst you're dialating. docs oftentimes dont propose that. additionally, once you get your membranes stripped do a brilliant form of strolling. Stripping membranes dont constantly artwork. they could could do it returned at a destiny appt. If the infant isn't waiting the infant wont come. yet strolling enables, a brilliant form of strolling. you additionally can attempt raspberry leaf tea. Dont attempt castor oil, it dont constantly artwork and it could make the infant have a bowel flow in utero. sturdy success.

its 50/50, depends on a lot of stuff, your body and the baby. If you being eating healthy or junk food. Evey pregnancy its different and there is no way to predict that. Don't worry about it, your baby its going to be fine either way.

it's a 50 50 chance that it will break on its own or it will have to be broke by the doctor.
I wasn't lucky enough to have mine break on it's own with both of my kids. The doctor had to break both!
