It's not just that. Every aspect of his administration was a failure... a trend he continued after he was rejected by the American public.

He's a good man.. but he just wasn't cut out to make important decisions.

Carter was an average President. The oil crisis caused the majority of the economic problems during his tenure, mainly because of his Mid-East peace talks, the same reason the Embassy was raided by Iranian special forces pretending to be students. OPEC ransomed the US into voting Carer out of office, it was our voters that were weak, not Carter. When the rescue mission failed he was hesitant to stage a second attempt to free the hostages using the Armed Forces. Carter in one of his many pre-election interviews was pushing for a Palestinian state on the West Bank, and for Peace talks between all of the Arab nations, the Palestinians and Israel. Arab hatred for Israel and the Palestinians kept all but Egypt from the table, and angered the OPEC nations.

Carter grew to become right into a one term president thirty years in the past, and knowledge constructive that honesty, distinctive characteristic and faith won't make for an sensible president. i'm a Democrat, and that i do unlike Carter the two. He had no theory on a thank you to run a rustic or take care of the loopy Iranians of the time. He had a complicated time to be president, and he did no longer do nicely in remote places or kin coverage. Reagan had an rather east time with the click who did no longer get in touch in his scandals, which, no longer being sexual in nature, basically have been too complicated for many persons of person-friendly human beings to understand and save on with. Then he grew to become what the terrific suited constantly accuses the left of doing with Obama, Reagan grew to become canonized and all his flaws have been washed away. And boy, did he have them.

Not as old as me friend! lol but I don't believe in that kind of thing, I just believe in living my life. The people who popularized the hatred for Jimmy Carter were conservatives who believe in killing the enemy, war, hatred that type of thing....very paranoid about protecting the country. Unfortunately, that caught on way too much. They tried to make him look like a wimp...but think about it : does wanting peace make one a wimp? No that was the war mongers talking and too many people acting like cattle fell for the bait. Jimmy Carter received the Nobel Peace Prize ...and he deserved it. He was a great president...not a war monger, not a wimp, but a Peace Lover....and he still is.
I am proud to say I love Jimmy Carter.
