The other day one of my supervisors was trying to zip a file on the computer. After trying to download this program with him for an hour he noticed that I was getting eratated with him like everyone else does because he is anal. He asked me if I knew what we were trying to do. I tolled him I felt he was being abusive to me because we both know exactly what we are doing and he was belittling me by asking what we are doing. After he said I want you to know I am not offended with what you said I know you are having a bad day. I said this aint about how I am feeling, this is about how you talk to me. Do you think I will be fired when the big boss gets back?

Since the supervisor admitted that he wasn't offended, at the time what grounds would he have when the "big" boss gets back?

I don't think that you were insubordinate or callously disregarded his instructions, or sought to ridicule/ belittle him in front of other employees. Therefore, no blood, no foul.

no, i do not think you will be fierd, its up to the big boss if you get caned or not i i just dont see that on something this petty and if your boss goes to her boss with this it will only make the big boss see how petty your boss is. it was good for you to stand up for your self at least now they know they havent employed some one who will take **** and will stand up for there self and that in the end is what all buisnes
es are looking for.

You shouldn't get fired because you just expressed what you think in a positive manner.

Sounds like you didn't do anything wrong. However, I am not sure if you were authorized to "tolled him" at work.

No. People (generally) get fired for real reasons, like theft, you just spoke your mind.
