I'm in California and am looking for a lender that can finance a $6-$8,000 personal loan to pay off some debts. I have a decent paying job, and am willing to pay a larger interest rate. I have tried credit.com, AIG, among others suggested on this site. Has anyone found a new lender?

Since you are working, why don't you try Prosper.com?

It's a web site that brings individual lenders and borrowers together.

I have to tell you though, I'm not a big fan of consolidation loans. If you can make your payments on loans, another one generally doesn't solve the problem unless you can really lower the interest rate or really extend the repayment term.

Call my boy Vinny, but mind you it really is a high risk loan cause if you dont pay up you may end up with a broken knee cap.
