Yes, depending on life experiences, age, health and disorders as well as any mental or emotional problems a person can have befall them. yes, we are products of what we live through and how we are able to cope and deal with the changes that are ours alone. With help and support people overcome many things and are happy. Without it and having to deal with life changing occurances we may not do so well and have difficulties dealing with other people and we do change yea, most definetly.

Hi Lundelius T!!!!

Yes. Our personality changes by the minute. No one behaves the same with every body, so we are constanly switching, adjusting, moderating and changing our personality.
Even when we speak on the phone!!!
It all depends on who, where, why, when and what???
For example, One desn't behave with a partner like will behave with a parent, a child,a grandparent and so forth.

Or even simpler, one doesn't behave with a police officer the way will behave with a mailcarrier, or firefighter, and so forth.

Also, one do not behave or express oneself in church as will speak on the street, or in a party or club.

So it is a constant change even with our ownselves!!!!
sometimes one could be in the restaurant, same people, same food, but behave different as we might be feeling and ask for something different every time we go.

Personality is very flexible, the worst scenario, on the negative point is, ussually abusive and people that often have trouble with the law; tend to be extremely educated, attentive and very proper in public.
But heart and personality changes, taking in consideration, who, what, where, when why and with whom; this same person could be very, dangerous, abusive, offensive, violent, rude, improper, and all of the above.

So the answer is YES. Personality changes all the time. Let's just hope that is always to be for the better and help ourselves and others. Not to harm and abuse the innocents and love ones.

I hope my answer is up to your liking.Even though this is the truth.

GOD BLESS YOU & HAPPY NEW YEAR
ALLIV Z

Every courd infuences you a different way, yet you are the same person. Your personality only changes if you choose to change the way in which you decide to live from a certain point on. You keep all the atributes you like or wish to carry with you and lose some of your old disliked traits. So yes to a point your personality does change if you choose to do so.

I suggest you take a social psychology course at a local college. Scientists have been studying personality for more than 100 years, and the topic is complex. A lot of the problems people have understanding it come from the fact that people make a lot of incorrect assumptions about the causes of behavior, feelings, and thoughts. The term "personality" is nonspecific, but when most people use it they're probably imagining personality traits, such as responsible, honest, etc. These terms are descriptive, not explanatory. To assume that somebody is responsible is to miss the point that people adapt to the situations they're in.

YES. Depending on your past and present life situation(s).
Sometimes the people you're around changes your mood, which changes your personality. I'd say your best personality is when your around others that make you happy. Everyone has mood changes. No one is happy 100% of the time nor sad 100% of the time. All you can do is try to be caring, compassionate and a kind person to others, as well as to yourself!

I think so. I think folks can have several personalities, without being schizofrantic. Example: Although some people are completely comfortable in their own skin and "keep it real" 100% of the time, I think most people act a little differently at work (or, in public in general, sometimes) than they do when they're at home. I don't think most people can be who they really are when they're by themselves (or with family or friends that they can totally "let it all out" around). These subtle differences can make up different personalities in different situations.

As a matter of fact, i will go to say that even though a major overhaul in any person's personality is very rare although possible.
what normally does happen is a gradual small change in the personality over a period of time.

Such miniscule changes in personality have happened to each one of us, are happening to us & will continue to happen to us untill we die.

remember that no one is BORN with a fixed personality. It evolves as we grow up. it gets influenced with our neighbourhoods/surroundings , our family background, basically all things that are close to us & influence us.

as an eg. we can always see that people who were dictators werent always authoritarian. was hitler / mussolini a cruel or domineering person since he was a child???? NO..
some incidents happend in their lives leading to the change in persona..
Similarly , all saints & wise men werent always noble throughout their lives. There have been examples where theifs have reformed to become saints..

well...where i m going with this is that a change in persona can happen due to a complex mix of situation, incidences, conscious effort on the part of a person & circumstances..
But it can surely happen :)
Thanx..hope this cleared things up. :)

Well, I think your personality can change in as far as the way we react with certain people. In other words, you may act differently with your mother or your brother than you act with a friend or a lover. It just all depends on how you "click" with someone else's personality.

Yes. My personality has changed drastically over the years. You may even see it in yourself that you change a little bit each year that goes by.
