Firstly, knowing your age is quite important. The other important thing is whether you are dribbling when you urinate, either at the beginning or end of your stream. It could possibly be a problem with your prostate (not definite).
Ultimately, it may be best that you see another urologist, and ensure that the diagnosis is the same, because the first Doctor may well be right. Good Luck!

MY husband is 57 and he is going threw that right now he has a stone in his kidneys quite large, the urologist that he is going to had to break up one in his bladder last week and he said that was pain full i know it was because i was with him. He has been having problems with these stones since SEPT you might need to get a ultra sound and a MRI that's how they found his stones. You might want to go to another Doctor if he doesn't help you. GOOD LUCK

None of what you're complaining of is "normal". you need to have some lab tests to find if you have a Bacterial infection, or a kidney stone.Things don't always show up positive on a particular day. Perhaps you should find a new MD,a year is a long time to suffer, and yes it could be serious.

i had the same problem last year...i started taking Cranberry pills 2 twices a day..REALLY helps! It's kinda like cranberry juice. But the pills works just for bladder problems.
you can get them at any drug store, or target. Whenever i feel i'm going to the bathroom too much, i take them for a week. And i get back on track.
Hope this helps!

it could be you have stones in your kidney, the beginning of renal insufficiency, an undetected UTI, or prosthatic cancer, plus many other things. So, you are better off scheduling an appointment with another doctor and start from there. Good luck!

Kidney infection would be my guess, but I would expect the urologist to have checked for that already.
