Can anyone give me some advice I want to go into running a booth at the swap meet?

But I dont know where to start, what to buy or where to buy. I need some in-expensive ideas I'm starting with about 1,000.00 to invest. I have thought about going to downtown LA to check out what the wholesalers have there, but hoping there might be one of you who has had experience with swap meets and might be able to give me some pointers, hot spots of where to get killer deals. Swap meets close to me. I live in Whittier. Thanks.

Ok, I have done this before. The best thing to do is find a good wholesaler. There are many good ones locally in any city and many online. Spend your money and watch what you buy, save money everywhere you can because it adds up fast.

I sold faster at booths than others because I would price my merchandise lower than everyone else (10-15%). That may seem like not enough, but you will sell out faster and build your inventory faster.

Other things I have learned:

-Keep everything visible, stuff walks off all the time

-Keep enough Change

-On the rare items charge as much as you can, try to triple your prices

-Be prepared to haggle, but remember you are there to make a profit.

With $1000.00 to start with you can do well for yourself.
