It often snows in the mountains overlooking the Los Angeles area in the late winter/early spring.

The nearest city where you can go skiing and such is Wrightwood. Wrightwood is closer than Big Bear and Mt. Baldy.

I think Baldy is the closest. Not much snow up there now, but give it a few weeks. Just go 210 Eats and exit Mountain ave. in Upland and go North. It's about 15 minutes from there.

Big Bear is not too far away. www.bigbear.com But the best mountain to go to for snow is Mammoth Mountain! www.mammothmountain.com The drive is a little longer but totally worth it!

Big Bear, CA is pretty consistent with snow at this time of year.

Mount San Antonio (Mount Baldy) in the San Gabriels is close!
There is snow up there right now.

terrific pastrami in all of l. a. is in Downtown L.A., at seventh & Alvarado, LANGERS they are in straightforward terms open for breakfast and lunch (simply by area), despite the fact that this is not too a techniques down the expressway from Burbank and unquestionably well worth it!!!
