A lot of people are wearing ballet flats or rockin' the heels. I think either look pretty good. Tall and slim women are the target and the ones who look best in skinny jeans. E.g. Kate Moss from the daily telegraph http://www.telegraph.co.uk/fashion/graphics/2005/11/16/f0a.jpg. The Olsens also pull off this trend well http://i3.tinypic.com/16a4f35.jpg. M.Barton wears flats, if you recall she had a deal with Keds.

Regardless of height, I think a shoe with a heel looks best. Gives you a sense of style. Being tall and trying to wear only flat shoes makes you look like you are trying to hide your height instead of embracing it. You can compensate for the extra inches by wearing a short blousey top. Then you should look smashing!

Ballets pumps and flats..
Or they can be worn tucked into boots or scrunched up over high heel shoes making them ideal for showing off footwear

Skinny jeans make you look fat and short. Ballet flats make you look fatter and shorter. Don't do either.
Go with a bootcut or a nice flair with pumps.

flats, thats what i wear with them. i found 3 really nice pais of flats at payless.
