Last guy...WRONG. There is no reason a Core 2 Duo could not use DDR, and there are a few chipsets that will support Core 2 Duo and DDR RAM, but the vast majority only support DDR2. If the reason you are asking is because your current system uses DDR and you are thinking of getting a Core 2 Duo, chances are your chipset will not support it.

DDR2 only. DDR has been dying for some time, but with the new Core 2 Duo CPUs and chip sets, Intel made the chipset to work with only DDR2 ram. Sorry.

You have to use a memory stick that has 240 pins on this mobo. If your old DDR memory has 168 pins or 184 pins, it won't fit into the 240 pin DIMMs. You'll have to get new DDR2 memory with 240 pins.

No it only works with DDR2
