How did they react to it. I know its not really the best question but I'd like to know if other couples are actually doing that.

I actually did name my boyfriends tosil - "little brain" He was always thinking with it!!!!!!!!

I have never had a name for my "thing", not really. I would joke about names with a group of college friends, but I don't think any of us actually had a term/title for any of them.
Now that I'm almost 40, I still don't think I've met anyone who's had a name for his penis, or a woman who's named her partner's.
I suggest, however, that if he doesn't like it, perhaps another nickname is what you will want to come up with.

I'm assuming you are referring to the genitals...If so, I know plenty of people who give them "pet names".
