great book. as for other books, there's twilight and new moon by stephenie meyer. but it focuses more on love, but thre's horror too. i love these books, they're great

I'd look on BarnesandNoble.com and locate the very book you speak of, then, look around if there's any recommendations from either other readers or the site itself for other related books (there usually are.) If not, you can still browse around throught he browsing section, and I'm sure, if you know the genre you want, you can get it there. Amazon.com also has (somewhat) the same feature where the site or readers recommend any similar books that may be good.

The Anita Blake Vampire series by Laurell K. Hamilton (starts with "Guilty Pleasures"). Her Meredith Gentry series is brilliant, too, but it deals more with faeries than vampires.
Also, I really loved "Look for Me by Moonlight" by Mary Downing Hahn, "The Silver Kiss" by your aforementioned author, and "War for the Oaks" by Emma Bull.
