Some times something is bothering me, and I never show it but it kind of affects my judgement, which is bad and I know it is bad. It is like a weakness. It's about seeing others who have, or make, more money than me (I am a businessman and making money is just what I am supposed to do so when someone else makes more then it means that they are more performant than me), and it makes me (unwittingly) feel envious. I know it is wrong but that's the way it is and I am sure it is common for many, if not for everyone. I would like to know how to tackle this best, because I do not want to feel bad when someone makes more money than me (especially friends) but I would like to be glad for it. Let's remind again, that I never show it and I never act upon envy. I always try to be nice to people and help them if I can.

Well, first, you are honest and that is good. you don't act or tell others how you feel that is good. I believe we are all a little that way, we all want more or at least if you are in that world where being the best is so rewarded. I would say you should look at some of the people that are less fortunate that yourself. Remember that this is just money and it really doesn't make you happy, it helps but not all people having money are happy people. It makes you greedy sometimes, that is what you want to avoid and you seem to have a level head. Remember at the end of the day that you did your best and as long as you don't cheat, hurt or lie to get what you have you are good. being a little jealous is normal and I defy anyone to say they don't feel this at times. Your true character is how you act on that feeling and how it makes you feel. Since you know it is not good to feel this and it concerns you I think you are oK. Just remember that all Good things come from God and giving back to those less fortunate will bless you in whatever you do. He promises to give back to you ten fold, pressed down and overflowing through other people. Maybe not money but all the other things that you need that money cannot buy. good luck.

Hi Ben!!!

Huumm!!!???? Why are wasting your precious time thinking on what others are doing??? Probably that is the reason you are not performing up to your own high standars!!!!

First of all, you are focusing on the wrong richness. Look, MONEY IS NOT HONEY!!!
Where there is money involved there's always some type of greetiness, envious, jealousy, frustration, vanity, etc.

You should never meassure with others as this will take from what you really need to focus into.

You said you are a buisness person, as that you should know that buisness is a roller coaster of up and downs, especially if you are working for some body else.

When you don't have control of the situation, as not being the owner of this company; why do you feel jealous of some making more money for some body else???!!!!!!

My advise, do not trouble yourself over this. Save it so when you have your own company, and then you will know what real competion is all about!!!

If you are making as much money as that who is making this much money, for some one else, look at it this way, for as much money as you could possibly make for this company, you will never be the owner!!!

Do what you do best, companies do put a lot of pressure on workers so they can make billions of dollars, of course under YOUR NAME who no one knows!!!!

GOOD LUCK TO YOU, LEARN SO YOU COULD HAVE YOUR OWN!!!
GOD BLESS YOU & HAPPY NEW YEAR

Your are very good if you can already sense giult for being like this; most business men do not give a sh** about anyone in a world of "I am number 1".

You should use your envy to push your self to get what you want without being nasty or unpleasent to anyone else.
This sense of unfairness can be used to make wrongs right.
If you feel that something is not fair, see if you can make fair in a good way without resorting to being nasty.

Use that sense of injustice to prevent unfairness occuring in other people as much as you can, and do not be someone that selfishly holds all money for your self when so many people have no money of food; they envy people like you for having any money and so they need help.

This is justice.

I can tell you; this force use positivily is as extremily powerful driving force!

When ever anything is unjust and unfair, use this force to power you to make it right (according to good will).

Get this taken care of. I am divorced from someone who suffered the same thing. He is a lawyer and took me to the cleaners, but now he is more unhappy than ever. He is so jealous of the friends that the children and myself have. It is affecting his relationship with his children. You may think it is the money you want, but it is probably something more than that.

Unless your talking about millions than most likely the people that make more money than you are deeper in debt than you ; ) The more you make the more you spend.

think of it this way:they have more stress, they spend money to impress people with their status, they're boring talking about money. be glad you can do and afford some nice things which is enough.

I think it comes with self-acceptance. As you grow older I think you'll find it's easier to accept and even laugh about your own faults and inadequacies.

We all have them, and given the choice, most of us would choose our own over anyone else's.
