I hav about five acres and aprox 2/5 are coverd

trouble with bull rushes is they throw under water roots that travel along the water bed at an alarming rate and at every foot or so they propogate a new shoot...so what you need to do is dig up the roots towards the old system every autumn, they are really soft and easily cut......a farmer i know said he uses a weed killer on his called round up....I have no knowledge of this and prefer the mechanical method of removal...works for me.....
