The central message of the Gîtâ is that every one should regard performance of 'Sva-dharma' is of utmost importance. It is indicated in the first word of the first verse of the opening chapter and the last word of the last verse in the concluding chapter. Mama: mine, Dharma: Duty.-

The central message of the Bhagvad Gita is to teach us to achieve the highest goal of our life "salvation" from the cycle of rebirth by our selfless acts. It walks you through four major paths and they are namely karma-yoga, Bhakti-yoga, Dhayana-yoga, and Gnana-yoga. Any path is as good as the other one depending upon our own mental makeup. Contrary to a general belief Gita is not a religious book but a book on spirituality.

I think, " perform the duties or karmas fearlessly, as per the eternal law that resides inside or dharma, without any attachments to i, my or me and without the expectations of any particular fruits ", is the central message of the Bhagawad Gita.
