OK...Don't Panic...it is not fried! Well maybe not. If it was just water turn it upside down and air-dry for about three days. Do not attempt to turn it on while it might still have possible moisture in it. I know it is hard but be patient. Do not use a hair dryer, or a heat gun. JUST be patient. after three days if it doesn't turn on go ahead and contact your warranty dept. Mac has awesome cust. svc. reps. Good luck -RS

You did the right thing turning it off but it was too late. I dont want to get into specifics but basicly your computer is fried. If you had an accident warranty then you should be able to get it replaced. You might be able to salvage the hard drive and put it in the new Macbook and get all of the information that you had. Good luck

Shutting it down is a good thing but since it does not want to turn on meant you tried turning it on without drying it which is a bad thing. I suggest you go to the nearest Apple Service Center and have them try to fix it. Don't try to fix it your self because the moment it does not want to turn on meant that something was shortcircuited. Don't worry it could still be fixed. Hope I help a little.

What RSdaCat said. Your Mac is fine. Thank yourself for drinking water and not Mountain Dew.

I'm assuming you removed the battery.
