jeeez people, what's with the attitude?
it's a good question.
Goldfish are omnivorous. They eat animals and plants. The fish food at the pet store is a combination of both plant and animal matter so get that. Once in awhile you can throw in the tank pieces of spinach, lettuce, cricket, a meal worm.
some fish have teeth that are mostly herbivorous (Pacu).. and some fish don't have teeth and are mostly carnivorous (Betta)...
so, chill people.

I can tell you this , I bought 35.00 of diffrent fish for my tank ..even other goldfish ONe black male ate them All ....YES they'll eat anything smaller and kill the others ...unless you keep with feeder goldfish that do grow up together .
Try it out on some fish that dont cost you an arm or leg first ...for a few mos

Goldfish are omnivorous. Mine particularly like juvenile bloodworms and fruit. if you do a search for goldfish and food, in yahoo answers, you'll find all kinds of interesting feeding ideas that your goldies will enjoy.

a goldfish is an omnivore, in the wild they eat worms, bugs, algae, plants and sometimes there own young.

fish flakes, granules, bread crumbs, blood worms and live shrimp. goldfish are hardy and can eat loads of things including human food.

come on! grow up, and think bout your question. they don't have teeth, only some kinds do. but pet fish like guppies, goldfish, minnows, etc. don't have teeth. plus it's called walking to a fish store, u walk to the fish section, pick up the can of food, FOR FISH! is it that hard!

they will eat bugs and live fish and live worms but i don't know if that is considered carnivorous
and then there is the minor fact that they will eat smaller fish than them so perhaps they r
