Yes, they are! But remember one thing, they are used and computers are measured by computer time or the amount of usage. You may not know how the previous owners used it or the actual microelectronic condition of each IC, Transistor, capacitors inside the PC. Inspite of what I said they are pretty cheap. So if I just need it for a few times I would go for the refurbished ones but if I would used it for keeps go for a brand new ones. You get the latest technology and the peace of mind. Hope I help a little.

As long as you buy it from Dell, Apple etc. Other companies that arent computer makers are kinda risky. Make sure you get one with a good warranty and nice customer support. As long as you have that you should be fine. But i would recomend to buy a brand new one. They are better because you can choose what goes in them and the prices are starting to go down. And normaly dell of Apple has some sort of discount going on. Happy notebook buying

look on the particularly some asus gaming sequence ( G sequence ) laptops. Their specs will actual tournament an alienware spec from a similar 12 months (dont assume a 12 months previous workstation to examine an alienware from this 12 months). Theyre priced at approximately 40% below alienware, and older fashions (say a 12 months previous) will nonetheless play each and every of the main present day intense res video games without subject and be obtainable at a cheap because of the fact stockists would be desirous to do away with them for new inventory.

The refurbished ones are only as good as the technicians who did it and the warranties are only as good as the company that backs it up.

If t has a full year warranty, yes. But leave it running 24 hours a day for the first week. This way, if there is a problem, it should show up within this time.

If you can get it from a reputable seller, then yes.
Make sure that you understand the warranty, and that you have a good one. You are practically buying a used laptop, except that this one has been going through some tweaks and fixes.

Sure. The only thing is, new ones are dropping in price so quickly it's not even really worth it. In other words, the retail price goes down faster than resale.
