T-Mobile wifi isn't the same as T-Mobile cellphone service, though you get discounts on T-Mobile wifi if you are a T-Mobile customer. But you can still get a T-Mobile hotspot account. When you first try to access the web from a T-Mobile hotspot, you'll automatically be taken to a page where you would log in, and can also sign up for a hotspot account. (Or you can go to http://hotspot.t-mobile.com/ right now.) If you're not going to use it much, you probably want the pay-as-you go method, which is $6 an hour.

WiFi is not service provider dependent, If you have a WiFi card you can access any hotspot that allows free access. Celluar Broadband is something quite diffirent then WiFi.

As you may't connect hardline for your even if, the question is moot. the answer for your next question is "on the spot get admission to point" which turns stressed out information superhighway into Wifi get admission to point.
