If we were to create a spacecraft to go at the speed of light, it would go around the earth 8 times a second. If we were to take that same spacecraft and make a complete circle around this solar system that we are in, it would take 46 years. If we were to again take that same spacecraft and fly it to the edge of this galaxy and then around this galaxy, it would take more than 5,000,000 years. And that is just our galaxy! We still have no clue how big the universe is, but we think that the universe is part of something even bigger that we cannot begin to comprehend.

Well it is still growing, but the stars that we can see are out there are as far away as 400 billion light years away and then sum, So put simply 1 light year is one physical year for us, so with that said if we where to move at the speed of light we would get there in about 400 billion years. I hope this helps good luck

i have seen ans. saying the universe is infinite cantains all things never ends........i say boulderdash!! i will make it very simple for you to understand... if you travel far enouph, you will leave the solar system, travel futher and you will leave the galaxey, travel far enouph and you leave this universe,,,just like trillions of stars and star systems make up a galaxey,,trillions and trillians of galaxyes to the billionth power make up a universe, and so on to say that trillions of universes make up something else,,,and that trillions of something else make up some thing else and so on and so on into infinity..scientist say that the universe has size,,ok, if you could travel to the edge of the universe,,and from that point travel ahead 1 million trillion light years to the trillionth power,,who are they to say nothing is there.

Probably infinite. It's like asking, how much time is there in the universe?
