I've tried rest, Ive tried icing, heat, stretching daily, but it still remains. I now have resolved to two 600 milligram tabs of Ibuprofen 3 times a day just to go without the discomfort.

Sounds like you might have herinated yourself. You should seek medical attention if you haven't already. On men it can go septic and be fatal if ignored.

You should have seeked medical attention a day or so after the injury, as soon as you realised that the pain did not go away.
It could be an infection that spread to your urinal glands.
It could end up in surgery if not treated.

Have a friend who injured himself when jet skiing, he had to go for surgery.

you should go to the doctor, it could be a pulled tendon
