Can you remember any of the VERY funny things that Festus used to talk about, on "Gunsmoke"?

Any particular "Festusisms" or situations??

Festus had so many unusual remarks, it is hard to remember any one specific. A couple of general one's were

"I'll get on you like ugly on an ape."

"What intarnation's it look like I'm doing"

"Well, you just hold yer taters"
The writers were smart to always have Doc Adams near by, to get a reaction.

Here are a couple I like:

"If this gun goes off, it'll be the first thing that ever was inside yer head."

"You're a mighty man, Ben Snow. But you ain't got the sense to holler suey if the hogs are eatin' you up."

"I'll find her. Us Haggens has got an eye for saloons."

"‘Pears I made a bigger mess than a sow's bed."

And when Matt asked him "Are you the only honest Haggen?" and Festus answered "Who said I was honest, Marshall?"

I was in the USAF with his cousin Gary, who talked exactly like him. Festus is Ken Curtis, slightly exaggerated. From Bald Knob, Arkansas.

definitely me and a few of my pals used to accomplish a little of those on sunday afternoons (in basic terms 10, 11, 13, and 14). used to freak out the wal-mart human beings tremendously when I did quantity 14 in direction of the save no longer understanding one replaced into following me and quantity 10 in the carrying products. regardless of the indisputable fact that a number of the others I particularly does no longer have the midsection to do.
