I would say no.
Intuition is (from the dictionary) -an immediate cognition of an object not inferred or determined by a previous cognition of the same object. pure, untaught, noninferential knowledge.
In short knowing without having known.
Inferential thought is when we see something we have never seen before nor heard described and we are able to determine it's use or purpose just by looking at it or holding it in our hands.
Think of it as having a "Little Man Tate" moment.
Knowing without thinking or study, sort of sudden bursts of epiphany.
I think that whether we like it or not most of our thought processes are caught up in our personal knowledge that is gained by our personal experiences and histories.
Those who have never seen a log fire don't necessarily know not to reach into it and pick up an ember.
Our intuitions are also influenced by our accumulated knowledge.
I think to a degree intuitive thought and cognitive thought overlap.
Byond that I got nothin'
