I think that a family can mean many things. Two parents and on or more adopted children can make a wonderful family. I have seen many examples of this. For some people there might be no other choice than adoption as they might not be able to have their own children. Others feel that adoption makes a great contribution to humanity in a world where many children are poor and homeless. There are many good reasons to adopt and it can work very well for people who have the skills and desire to be good parents.
So, again, it might not always be about what people would 'rather' do. But for those who want to adopt for adoptions sake, I think that can be a beautiful thing.

I want to do both! I want to adopt my first child from a foreign country, and I want to have my own children when or if I get married. But I' am only 20, so I have time to think about kids later.

Depends on the condition
If i could have children then I'll try unless i have some kind of condition that is genetic and can harm the child then no i would adopt.
Maybe after a while i might have my own kids and maybe foster or adopt.

I already have 5 kids, BUT if I could I would love to adopt another child.

Well, I would like to have at least one of my own children. But I'd possibly like to adopt after that.

Well I already have three of my own so if I ever did have anymore kids I would adopted. No point of bringing more kids into this world when we already have so many that need homes.

Considering that I already have 3 kids of my own and I was adopted myself, I would now consider adoption, but my husband is against it.
