If you mean "melancholy" it means sad or depressed.

A little mixed up Josie - babies get colic - kind of a wind in their stomach that causes pain.Severe abdominal pain caused by spasm, obstruction, or distention of any of the hollow viscera, such as the intestines.
A condition of unknown cause seen in infants less than three months old, marked by periods of inconsolable crying lasting for hours at a time for at least three weeks

When you are sad and blue, you are said to be suffering from melancholy (sadness or depression of the spirits: gloom).
